It’s not about sports, but what sports does for us as people.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a football fan, the purpose of this is to highlight how events unify us. This weekend if you were a Notre Dame fan or Clemson fan, it didn’t matter. 15,000 people rushed the field, and where that might not be the best thing right now from a health standpoint, it’s what we need.
To come together around the proverbial firepit and just be. Not as enemies, republicans, or democrats, but as Americans, and human beings.
Whether your team won or lost you can share with your fellow human that experience. Differences aside, let’s move forward remembering that we are all in this together.
Communication is so divided and I want to encourage you to get out there and talk to your neighbor and find people who don’t believe or think the way you do and just listen with an open mind. Agree to disagree and find common ground. You might find that despite what you think, you have more in common than you realize.
